Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella
Banyan Tree's first Angsana signing in Spain, with the residences' sizes published and their number not — and the agreement itself a memorandum.
The operator publishes the rooms, the size range and no count. Banyan Tree Group's own newsroom announces its first Angsana signing in Spain: 90 guestrooms and suites inside the 200-hectare Real de La Quinta community at Benahavís, alongside branded residences of 97 to 151 sqm in two and three bedrooms. No number of residences appears anywhere in the release. A size range without a count is the operator telling the register what the homes are like and not how many there are.
And the arrangement is a memorandum of understanding. The release says so. An MOU is not a signed management agreement, so the register's status is Announced and the brand-licence field carries the distinction rather than burying it. Opening is given as 2026 under that MOU — this year, on a project with no construction milestone published.
The asset's owner is not named. The counterparty is La Quinta Real Estate Group, of Borja Pascual; who owns the land and the building is not stated. OBMI is named on architecture, MKV Design on interiors and RSR Studio on landscape — a full design team, which is more than most rows here carry.
This record exists because of a reader's question about another one. Banyan Tree appeared on the register's Mandarin Oriental Barcelona record as its management company, wrongly, inherited from a base record at intake — and the repair that followed withdrew two hundred and forty-one such values across eighty-eight records. Here the Banyan Tree name is real, published by Banyan Tree, about a building Banyan Tree will run. The register notes the contrast deliberately: the same name, once inherited and once earned.
Not for a buyer who needs to know how many residences there will be: the operator publishes sizes and no count. Not for anyone treating a 2026 opening as firm — the underlying agreement is a memorandum.

A reader sent a link and said: look, there are residences in the Spanish mountains. There are — and the hotel is selling its own rooms. The Mountains at Pradollano: “You buy a hotel room and at the same time you sign a lease contract with the hotel.” Thirty-seven rooms with independent Land Registry entries, from EUR 257,000, and owner use capped at 30 nights a year or 60.
Investment migration — the facts the rule turns on
The rule for Spain: Closed to property — checked 24.09.2026.
The register publishes the facts and the rule; it does not say whether any purchase qualifies. Eligibility attaches to a sale, not to a building, and the register is not immigration counsel.
